BOOMROCK
Boomrock Lodge is an out of city experience with panoramic views across the Tasman sea. The clifftops are a perfect spot for your outdoor wedding ceremony and The Lodge can comfortably seat up to 120 guests or 160 cocktail style. Their resident chef Gareth Cowie will design a menu to suit your requirements and budget. Boomrock is a 30 minute bus ride from the CBD or a 6 minute helicopter transfer.
OHARIU FARM
Ohariu Farm is a countryside venue found only 20 minutes outside of Wellington CBD. Their inhouse catering team will cater for weddings from 15 guests up to 230 guests seated and 450 standing. The wooden covered deck backs onto the main building, perfect as a backup for all weather conditions.
SUDBURY
Sudbury is a Kapiti Coast wedding venue set on a ridge overlooking a valley in Peka Peka. Dinner in the stables can seat up to 150 guests and their catering partner Canapé Company brings a superb dining experience while you provide BYO alcohol with no corkage fee. Guests can mingle in the courtyard garden while couples enjoy the endless backdrops for bridal party photos, including the west coast beach with views of Kapiti Island just down the road.
PREFAB HALL
Prefab Hall is a popular venue attached to the back of Prefab Eatery, located in Wellington CBD at 14 Jessie Street. The venue can seat up to 120 guests for dinner at tables, 160 -200 theatre style and 250 cocktail style. They also happen to have the best audio system for a wellington Venue, something to consider if you’re getting a band!
THE MILK STATION
The Milk Station in Otaki is a restored historical venue built in 1919. Its rustic charm is influenced by early Italian architects and blended with fine art from Europe. The main reception area seats 200 guests and five-star accommodation is available on site giving you the option to get ready, say your vows, have all of your photos and celebrate in the one location.
SILVERSTREAM RETREAT
Silverstream Retreat is located in Lower Hutt and has a range of indoor and outdoor options for your wedding, as well as on-site accommodation. Their seating capacity ranges from 100-250 guests. Their on-site chef and functions manager will work with you to create a menu to suit your tastes.
DOCKSIDE
Dockside is a venue and restaurant located on the edge of the Wellington waterfront. The Main Deck downstairs can seat 140 guests and features an opening roof, so it’s perfect for any weather and large enough to host your ceremony and reception.
BEGONIA HOUSE
The Begonia House is a glasshouse in the Wellington Botanic Gardens available to use as a wedding venue from 5 pm to 1 am. It can seat up to 90 guests in the main foyer area which is surrounded by plants and florals, if you’re wanting to do minimal styling then this is the perfect space.
WAIHOANGA RIVER LODGE
Waihoanga River Lodge and Retreat is located on the Kapiti Coast. You’ll find yourself surrounded by nature in this peaceful garden setting. This venue can accommodate for 100 guests and can provide accommodation for 55 people, including glamping style options.
THE BOATSHED
The Boatshed is a heritage building located in the heart of Wellington CBD and is surrounded by panoramic views of the harbor and city. An additional deck area between the Wellington Rowing Club and Boatshed can be booked for your ceremony and the Capacity for a seated meal is 200 guests or 300 guests for a cocktail function.
GLENVIEW COUNTRY GARDENS
Glenview Country Gardens is a private garden wedding venue located in Lower Hutt with a range of outdoor spots for your ceremony and an indoor barn for your reception. This venue is suitable for weddings from 20-200 guests, while the barn can seat 120 guests inside and an additional 70 guests under the attached marquee and deck.
TE PAPA
Te Papa is an iconic Wellington building which also offers venue hire for your ceremony and reception. There are four different venue spaces to choose from which can accommodate small or larger weddings with up to 450 guests!
